Folks we are here with Trevor who’s been on the streets of Dublin for how long 8 months eight months and what what brought you to the streets of blood have passed away and me Father threw me

out and when was that couple of months back yeah about eight months ago eight months ago and that’s where where you where been on the streets so eight months yeah all right been in now hustles as well but they got salers and robbed in hoods all right so what what is it like to be on the streets of Dublin it’s horrible I wouldn’t wish it on anybody it’s cold you get wet and you’re hungry and you get dehydrated and now I’m going to let you use a toilet or get a drink of water nothing like that is it not much help coming well sometimes if you’re sitting there there is people that go around with a cup of tea and a sandwich that’s only once or twice a week though maybe you know what about like I’ve about the the post office the like handouts for homeless people GPO GPO yeah yeah how often is that I think and every t or fort night and then they go to gring Street M because I was trying to find them today you couldn’t see anything no I think you come out between 5 and 7:00 halfway in the evening and 7:00 and 7:00 you give you sandwiches and sometimes you get a hot meal they’re very good a great you do a great job all right because a man is homeless doesn’t mean he’s abusing the substance I’ve been in and out of hostels and I’ve been living in tents um so all together probably on the streets probably 5 years you say I’m not blind I’m a con artist and a fake and a phony I went went into care of the hsse and I went from care home to care home in high proportion of them are probably drolics right and crack Al crack cocaine you the problem and and heroin I don’t when I was a kid that I had to get my sisters out of the house because the house went on fire and I was the only one that could cu the rest of them all underneath me my Ag and my M my dad and my little brother died in the fire I’m an alcoholic but I haven’t drank in N Dam months and I went to a bad time with drinking that got to drugs and that just well tell me about that you’re growing up did you grow up physically physically yeah where you are sry to that been in prison prison all right what for for robberies robberies robber yeah okay Trevor are you okay now you you’re on the good path sort of yeah sort of hopefully I wouldn’t say good but it’s better than I haven’t drank in I’m an alcoholic but I haven’t drank in 9 months all right well done and all now and again I would probably have a joint that’s about it that’s all you well Danel you managed that sometimes I do Buy tablets on the street they can well we leared to come off them because it was collapsing in the street it was collapsing on the ground and people had to pick me up and I forget because of the tablets because of not having them or when they said when I went to the hospital they kept me in for 12 weeks and he says that me platelets were very very low in me body and he don’t put a thing around my neck to monitor me heart for 24 hours and done two Mr on me brain and he says that the blood wasn’t gone to me brain quick enough and that’s why you wouldn’t nothing off that’s that’s why I was collapsing when when I go down I had the strength of about a three or four year old baby I couldn’t push myself back up had to be lifted up well right are you okay now I don’t know but I could get a black white or Bru like I bumped off something like get Bru when when did that when did happen for the last time H it’s a couple of months now because I hav you collaps it on the street yeah it’s a ro few good few weeks mhm mhm mhm all right Trevor well if there’s somebody watching this and wants to help you is there any kind of like email or telephone number you have people can contact you we could probably give you any brother’s telephone number and he can get in touch with me his number is can to say yeah 086 8808 384 and that’s Irish number Frank is his name Frank your brother and he will contact you okay all right Trevor well I wish you all the best thank you very much have a safe night pal hopefully
